The Glass

You just ordered a nice glass cup. You are excited to get it and unwrap the shiny new glass cup. All of your other glasses you have used for a long time, and they have a bunch of scratches or have been broken. You swear that you're going to keep this one from the wear and tear and the overuse.

Time passes...you use it for a few months. You have taken great care of it. You have a couple scratches here and there and you've dropped it a couple of times, but it has always been fine right? I mean there's no way the glass could break now because it survived all the other times, right?

I mean you've always been an invincible bad*** right?

I mean you have always had a couple scratches and a couple drops here and there, but your glass has never shattered right?

But then everything starts building up, right?

One scratch turns into two scratches; two scratches turn into three scratches; three scratches turn into four scratches, five scratches, six, or seven, and so on.

It might not seem like a lot of scratches at the time. After all, you're only going through small things. It's not a big deal right? But sometimes it's actually the smaller things that end up causing long-term bigger problems then the bigger things, the more and more that happens the more and more you hold inside and the bigger and harder your situation becomes.

You think you're invincible until one day your glass just breaks, right? Right in front of your eyes. The very thing you thought was getting better your brand new be just shattered.

You try everything you can to put it back together. You try hot gluing it back together. You can get some of the pieces back together, but so many of them are just too shattered to fit onto the glass anymore.

Then you can get in a really good place for a really long time. You're amazingly happy and amazingly positive, but then one day you start thinking about the day you shattered your perfectly good glass. You become hard on yourself. But then you have an amazing day. You jump online. You order another glass. You swear you're going to fix this and take care of this one this time around. When you ordered it, it said it would take a month to get there, but your glass just never came. It just never showed up at your front door.

Sometimes life is like that. Sometimes life will give you a late delivery, but it doesn't mean your glass will never come. You have to be patient and stay strong, and fix the pieces you can on the old one at the meantime.

God bless❤

Hang in there and stay strong! And remember it's okay to have a few scratches on your glass sometimes, just because you have scratches doesn't mean it's shattered, and if it is shattered be patient and wait for the delivery date to arrive.

Your loneliness, your brokenness, your friendlessness will always get better and it will always be fixed. it will just not be easy.
